Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Diligent Pipeline Integrity Engineer to lead integrity programs for a major oil and gas infrastructure network in Gauteng. You will coordinate inspections, analyze results, and drive remediation decisions to ensure safe, compliant operation.

The role requires a strong background in materials, corrosion, NDT methods, and regulatory standards, with a collaborative approach across maintenance and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Materials Science or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years in pipeline engineering with integrity focus.
• Knowledge of pipeline materials, welding, corrosion and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with UT, MFL, radiography and NDT methods.
• Experience with integrity software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pipeline integrity management plans (PIMPs).
• Conduct risk-based assessments for pipeline assets.
• Plan and oversee inline inspection campaigns and direct assessment activities.
• Analyze inspection data and recommend repair/remediation strategies.
• Monitor corrosion rates and assess effectiveness of corrosion control.
