Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a specialized Pipeline Integrity Engineer to bolster its infrastructure team in Mahikeng. This role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation of a large pipeline network in the Oil & Gas sector.

You will assess pipeline condition, manage risk, and implement preventive maintenance to safeguard assets and the environment. Responsibilities include planning ILI campaigns, analyzing data, and repairing pipelines per codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in pipeline engineering or integrity management.
• Solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms, NDT, and pipeline materials.
• Familiarity with pipeline codes and standards (ASME B31.8, API 1160).
• Experience with pipeline integrity software and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute pipeline integrity management plans (PIM).
• Conduct risk-based assessments for corrosion, mechanical damage, and other threats to pipeline integrity.
• Plan and oversee inline inspection (ILI) campaigns using various tools and technologies.
