Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Pipeline Integrity Engineer to manage the safety and reliability of a pipeline network in East London, South Africa. You will assess conditions, implement inspection and maintenance programs, and ensure compliance with industry standards to prevent failures and maintain operational continuity.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, at least 5 years in pipeline engineering or integrity, and experience with corrosion

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pipeline engineering or integrity management experience.
• Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and pipeline failure modes.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO codes and standards.
• Experience with pipeline integrity assessment software and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pipeline integrity management plans (PIMPs).
• Oversee inspection programs including NDT, ILI, and depth of cover surveys.
• Analyze inspection data to identify corrosion and damage.
• Recommend repairs or replacement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with national and international pipeline safety regulations.
• Collaborate with operations to address integrity issues.
