Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in pipeline integrity management in Oil & Gas.
• Deep knowledge of corrosion, materials science and NDT methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage pipeline integrity management plans (PIMs).
• Analyze data from ILI, hydrostatic testing and other assessments.
• Assess risks from corrosion, third-party damage and operational anomalies; propose mitigations.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join their geographically dispersed engineering team. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of extensive pipeline networks. You will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive integrity management programs, analyzing inspection data, and recommending preventative and corrective actions to maintain pipeline asset health. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of corrosion, materials science, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This is a fully remote position, requiring excellent self-management and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with field teams and management from a distance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage pipeline integrity management plans (PIMs) according to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Analyze data from inline inspection tools (ILI), hydrostatic testing, and other integrity assessments to evaluate pipeline condition.
• Assess risks associated with corrosion, third-party damage, and operational anomalies, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the planning and execution of pipeline repair and rehabilitation projects.
• Review and approve technical integrity standards, procedures, and specifications.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with pipeline safety regulations.
• Collaborate closely with field operations, inspection teams, and other engineering disciplines.
• Maintain detailed records of pipeline integrity assessments, repairs, and ongoing monitoring activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pipeline integrity management within the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of pipeline corrosion mechanisms, prevention techniques, and materials science.
• Experience with pipeline integrity software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.4, API 1160).
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
