Job summary

Placements24 in Mpumalanga seeks an experienced Asset Integrity Manager to lead the safety, reliability and maintenance of critical assets in the Nelspruit region. You will drive integrity programs to meet regulatory and company standards while guiding a team of engineers and technicians in proactive asset care.

You will manage RBI/FFS and corrosion control, oversee inspections and budgets, and report on risk mitigation strategies to support operational excellence in Oil & Gas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil) or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset integrity management.
• Experience with RBI, FFS, and corrosion management.
• Strong understanding of API, ASME, and DNV codes/standards.
• Proven leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in managing maintenance and inspection teams.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement asset integrity management (AIM) systems and strategies.
• Oversee inspection, testing, and maintenance programs for critical equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct risk-based assessments to identify and prioritize integrity threats.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international regulations and standards.
• Manage budgets for integrity assurance activities and lead a team of integrity engineers.
• Investigate integrity incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset integrity management, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Proven experience with risk-based inspection (RBI), fitness-for-service (FFS), and corrosion management.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (API, ASME, DNV).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Experience in managing maintenance and inspection teams.
