Qualifications

• English and second language – read, write and speak.
• Active pharmaceutical education and knowledge of B.Pharm curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide services or acts pertaining to pharmacist’s assistant scope under direct supervision.
• Assist with sale of Schedule 1–6 medicines as directed.
• Assist with compounding/preparation according to SOPs.
• Assist with manufacturing and repackaging of medicines as required.
• Maintain stock control and order medicines up to Schedule 6.
• Read and prepare prescriptions; label and supply medicines.
• Give patient instructions and health information.
• Maintain customer profiles and assist with claims via medical aids.
• Explain medical aid costs to patients and ensure proper documentation.
