Essential requirements include Grade 12 and a BPharm (4 years). Computer literacy (MS Office) is required, with advantageous holiday work and experience with Unisolve and E-Scripting helping candidates stand out.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• BPharm – 4 year.
• Computer literate – MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Pharmacist intern may provide or perform all the services or acts pertaining to the scope of practice of a pharmacist’s assistant (post-basic) under supervision.
• Assist with the sale of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medicines or scheduled substances.
• Assist with compounding/preparation of non-sterile or sterile medicines or scheduled substances.
• Assist with manufacturing of medicines according to approved procedures.
• Read, interpret and prepare prescriptions and provide patient instructions.
• Provide information to promote health and assist patients at the dispensary and front-shop.
