Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join a busy Welkom pharmacy. You will dispense medications accurately, counsel patients on treatments, manage inventory and ensure regulatory compliance in a community setting.

Formación

• Registered Pharmacist with SAPC and a valid license to practice.
• Experience in community pharmacy is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and counsel patients on use, side effects and storage.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.

About the Role

You will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately, counselling patients on their treatments, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct dosage and patient identification.
• Provide patient counselling on medication use, potential side effects, and storage.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
• Offer over-the-counter (OTC) recommendations and basic health advice to customers.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy.

Requirements

• Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Current and valid Pharmacist license to practice.
• Previous experience in community pharmacy is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing software, and relevant legislation.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in Welkom .
