Placements24 is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to manage and oversee operations at a busy community pharmacy in Rustenburg. The role focuses on accurate dispensing, patient safety, expert pharmaceutical advice, and strong regulatory compliance within North West Province.

About the Role

Our client seeks a licensed and dedicated Pharmacist to manage and oversee operations at a busy community pharmacy in Rustenburg . You will play a pivotal role in dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety, providing expert pharmaceutical advice, and managing inventory. This position requires a commitment to exceptional patient care and a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical practices and regulations in North West . You will be a key member of the healthcare team, interacting directly with patients and physicians to optimize therapeutic outcomes and promote public health and wellness within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and adherence to legal requirements.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including drug interactions, side effects, and proper usage.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions and resolve medication-related issues.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintaining the security of controlled substances.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns, providing guidance and training.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (or eligibility to obtain).
• Proven experience as a Pharmacist , preferably in a community or retail setting.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing software, and medication management systems.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
