Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years in Quality Assurance in pharma; 2+ years in management/supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and audit principles.
• Experience in audits, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager to lead their QA operations in Mahikeng . This leadership role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all relevant regulatory standards. You will oversee QA activities, manage audit processes, and champion a culture of quality throughout the organization, ensuring the safety and efficacy of all manufactured pharmaceutical products. This is a critical opportunity for a quality professional to drive excellence and compliance in a key operational hub.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee all QA activities, including batch record review and release, deviation management, CAPA implementation, change control, and supplier quality.
• Lead internal and external audits (e.g., regulatory inspections, customer audits), ensuring successful outcomes and implementation of corrective actions.
• Provide QA oversight for manufacturing, packaging, and laboratory operations to ensure compliance.
• Train and mentor QA personnel, fostering a strong understanding and commitment to quality principles across the site.
• Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices, advising management on potential impacts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP regulations, quality systems, and audit principles.
• Proven experience in managing audits, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a challenging manufacturing environment in Mahikeng .
