About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned and compliance-focused Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance Manager to lead their QA operations in Rustenburg. This senior position is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems across all pharmaceutical manufacturing and development activities. You will ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficacy, in strict accordance with regulatory requirements. This is a critical leadership role for an individual passionate about quality, with a proven ability to manage teams, drive continuous improvement, and uphold the integrity of pharmaceutical operations within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including batch record review, deviation management, CAPA implementation, and change control.
• Conduct internal audits and host external regulatory inspections (e.g., SAHPRA), ensuring successful outcomes.
• Manage and mentor the Quality Assurance team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes and product releases comply with approved specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and other departments to foster a quality-centric culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP, GDP, and relevant South African regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA).
• Demonstrated experience in leading QA teams, managing audits, and implementing robust QMS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
