Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Kimberley, South Africa. You will perform analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceuticals to ensure quality and patient safety, using HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testing, while adhering to GLP and GMP.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or related field and at least two years of QC experience in pharma.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy or related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Control Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution testers.
• Knowledge of GLP and GMP.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
• Analyze test results, compare against specifications, and document findings in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Investigate Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and determine root causes with relevant teams.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment for accuracy.
• Prepare standard solutions and reagents required for testing.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities as needed.
