Job summary

Aspen Pharma Group in South Africa is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily and weekly maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and safe execution with minimal downtime.

You will manage the maintenance team and contractors, coordinate with Production and Planning, oversee work orders, and drive continuous improvement while complying with GMP, SHE, and legal standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric required.
• N4–N6 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5 years related experience.
• Trade tested Fitter/Electrical/Millwright.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the daily and weekly maintenance activities of artisans/technicians.
• Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is completed safely, effectively and on schedule.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning and Maintenance to prioritise work and minimise production disruption.
• Ensure equipment and assets are maintained in reliable operating condition and address recurring equipment failures.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules and outstanding maintenance activities through to completion.
• Provide technical support, coordinate problem-solving and equipment changeovers, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage team performance, capability, productivity and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, SHE, legal requirements, policies and maintenance standards.
