Barrs Pharmaceuticals Industries (Pty) Ltd seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance across production units in a GMP-regulated setting. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure equipment reliability, and drive regulatory compliance and audit readiness.

The role focuses on managing utilities, safety, and continuous improvement while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain production continuity and quality.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of maintenance experience in GMP-regulated pharma or FMCG manufacturing.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GEP, ALCOA and regulatory audit expectations.
• Hands‑on experience with major utilities and production machinery.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

Aufgaben

• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Ensure compliance with SAHPRA, GMP, GEP, and safety standards.
• Lead RCA and CAPA to improve reliability.
• Manage utilities such as HVAC, purified water, steam, compressed air and effluent systems.
• Enforce OHS standards, conduct HIRA and ensure contractor safety.
• Lead, mentor and upskill the maintenance team.
• Manage budgets, spare parts and external service providers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
