Placements24 is seeking a Petroleum Geologist for a remote role within an independent energy company. You will identify exploration opportunities, interpret geological data, and develop subsurface models, collaborating with geophysicists and reservoir engineers.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Geology or Earth Sciences with 6+ years in petroleum exploration geology, strong sedimentology/stratigraphy knowledge, and proficiency in Petrel, GeoGraphix, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

About the Role

This position is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will play a key role in identifying and evaluating new exploration opportunities, interpreting geological data, and contributing to subsurface models. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology, coupled with proficiency in geological modeling software. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret geological data, including well logs, core samples, seismic data, and surface geology, to identify potential hydrocarbon plays.
• Develop and refine subsurface geological models, integrating data from multiple sources.

Requirements
