Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to join our exploration team on a fully remote basis, serving projects across various regions. You will interpret geological data, identify hydrocarbon-bearing formations and support exploration strategy.

Collaboration with geoscientists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers is essential to assess prospectivity and de-risk opportunities. You will contribute to developing geological models, field studies, and data acquisition

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geology or related Earth Science field.
• 10+ years of exploration geology experience, preferably in oil & gas.
• Proficient in seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, and basin analysis.
• Proficient with Petrel, GeoGraphix and GIS toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Interpret geological and geophysical data, including seismic, well logs, and core samples.
• Develop geological models and maps to delineate potential reservoirs and structural traps.
• Evaluate the prospectivity of new exploration areas and contribute to portfolio management.
