Placements24 is seeking a skilled Pediatric Nanny and Educational Support Specialist for a family in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on daily care and educational enrichment of two children aged 4 and 6, supporting their school curriculum and extracurricular activities.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Early Childhood Education or Psychology, with at least six years of childcare experience, and up-to-date First Aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Degree in Early Childhood Education or Psychology is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 6 years in professional childcare with pediatric support.
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications are essential.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care and supervision of two children, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Develop and implement engaging educational activities that supplement school learning.
• Assist children with homework with clear explanations and support.
• Plan and prepare healthy meals and snacks, accommodating dietary needs.
• Foster learning through reading, games, arts and crafts.
• Organize indoor/outdoor activities to promote physical fitness.
• Manage school drop-offs and pickups and medical appointments.
• Maintain clear communication with parents about development and daily activities.
• Keep living spaces tidy and organized for the children.
• Encourage positive social interactions and emotional development.
• Document progress and observations for parental review.
