Placements24 is seeking a compassionate Pediatric Home Care Assistant in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal to support children with chronic illnesses or disabilities at home. The role requires a CNA or HHA qualification, CPR/First Aid, and at least 3 years of pediatric home care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care at patients' homes (hygiene, feeding, mobility).

• Monitor child’s condition and report changes to nursing supervisor or physician.
• Maintain a safe and clean home environment.
• Educate and support families on managing care needs.
• Document all care provided and patient responses accurately.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to the child and family.
• Adhere to company policies and healthcare regulations.
• Transport children to medical appointments or therapy sessions as required.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric home care or pediatric nursing.
• Proficiency in administering medications and basic medical procedures.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Strong understanding of pediatric medical conditions and developmental needs.
• Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
