Qualifications

• Advanced degree in psychology or a related field.
• 7+ years of pediatric development, assessment and intervention.
• Knowledge of milestones and learning theories.
• Experience conducting developmental assessments.

• Experience in educational/childcare settings beneficial.
• Willingness to travel to Centurion facility

About the Role

Our client, a distinguished early learning center in Centurion, Gauteng , is actively seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Development Consultant. This role focuses on providing expert guidance and support to educators, parents, and children to optimize developmental outcomes. You will be instrumental in identifying developmental needs, recommending tailored interventions, and ensuring the implementation of best practices in early childhood education. This consultant role is crucial for enhancing the quality of care and education provided, ensuring that every child receives the support necessary to thrive. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both on-site assessments and consultations, as well as remote strategic planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments for children aged 0-6 years.


• Develop individualized development plans (IDPs) based on assessment findings.


• Provide consultation and training to educators and parents on child development strategies.


• Identify potential developmental delays or challenges and recommend appropriate interventions.


• Collaborate with external specialists and therapists as needed.

Requirements
