Job summary

Bluespec Holdings is seeking an experienced payroll professional in Johannesburg to manage end-to-end payroll using Sage 300 People. You will handle deductions, overtime, bonuses, terminations and leave processing, while ensuring timely salary payments.

You will maintain employee records, ensure data accuracy, and support employees with payroll queries. You will also ensure legal compliance and accurate tax submissions in line with SA regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll management in South Africa
• Proficiency with Sage 300 People or similar payroll systems
• Understanding of BCEA, UIF, PAYE, SDL and SARS requirements
• Ability to generate payroll reports and variance analyses
• Strong data integrity and confidentiality practices
• Customer-focused support for employees on payslips and queries
• Attention to audit readiness and document control
• Experience with leaving and termination processing

Responsibilities

• Process payroll end-to-end using Sage 300 People, including deductions, overtime, bonuses and terminations.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timeous salary payments via electronic transfer.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour law requirements and tax submissions (EMP201/EMP501).
• Submit statutory payroll reports within deadlines and keep records up to date.
• Regularly maintain and update payroll and attendance systems (ERS Biometrics).
• Generate payroll costing, variance reports and management reports for finance and audit.
• Keep secure, confidential payroll files and provide employee payroll support.
