MORE Collection's Upper Union restaurant in Cape Town is seeking a pastry professional to craft pastries, desserts, breads and petit fours to the highest standards. You will join a fast-paced, energetic team focused on bold, globally inspired flavours, and consistent presentation.

With Matric and a culinary pastry qualification, you’ll contribute to stock control, food safety and teamwork, delivering elegant plating during breakfast, lunch, dinner and events in a luxe hospitality environment

Qualifications

• Minimum pastry/bakery experience in hospitality.
• Basic pastry and baking techniques are essential.
• Knowledge of HACCP or food safety procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries, desserts, breads, cakes and petit fours according to recipes and standards.
• Assist with mise en place and daily production needs.
• Accurately weigh, measure and prep ingredients.
• Ensure all food is prepared and presented to high quality standards.
• Assist with buffet displays, high tea and special events.
