Placements24 is seeking a Pastry Chef in Centurion, Gauteng to lead the pastry section for events. You will craft bespoke cakes, desserts, and artisanal pastries, from concept to final presentation, and oversee production, inventory, and cost control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in catering or high-end restaurants.
• Strong portfolio of artistic pastry designs and desserts.
• In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking science.
• Cake decoration and sugar work experience essential.
• Good food costing and inventory management understanding.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills.
• Flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and present pastries, cakes, and desserts for events.
• Develop new pastry recipes and techniques.
• Ensure pastry items meet high standards of taste and presentation.
