Job summary

Confluent seeks a Partner Relationship Manager to oversee a portfolio of strategic partners from our Cape Town office. You will ensure partnerships deliver mutual value, manage costs, and collaborate with internal teams to drive growth.

You will monitor performance, report on results, and proactively identify opportunities to expand and onboard new partners, drawing on your analytical and interpersonal strengths to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in partner management, account management or business development, preferably in financial services.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Data-driven decision making with comfort using metrics to guide actions.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of strategic partners and be the main contact for assigned partners.
• Build and sustain strong relationships based on trust and clear communication.
• Monitor partner performance and manage costs against targets; identify improvement opportunities.
• Report partner performance to stakeholders and partners; track value delivered.

Confluent, home to DebtBusters and JustMoney, helps South Africans take control of their finances. We are growing and are looking for a Partner Relationship Manager to join our Partnerships Team.

Job Summary

You will manage a portfolio of strategic partners, making sure each partnership delivers value for both sides. That means tracking performance, managing costs and return, working closely with internal teams, and finding new ways to grow. You’ll take the initiative, spot opportunities and solves problems, with the support of an experienced manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage partner relationships:

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned partners.

• Build strong, long-lasting relationships based on trust.

• Resolve partner queries and issues promptly and effectively.

• Drive and report on performance:

• Monitor partner performance and manage costs against agreed targets.

• Identify areas for improvement and work with partners to put them into action.

• Report on partner performance to partners and internal stakeholders.

• Grow the portfolio:

• Identify new opportunities to grow existing partnerships and develop new ones.

• Coordinate partner onboarding with internal teams.

Requirements

• A relevant degree - Business, Marketing, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in partner management, account management, or business development, ideally in financial services.

• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Confident in using data to make decisions.

• Highly organised, with meticulous attention to detail.

• A basic understanding of technical integrations is an advantage.
