Job summary

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Officer on a half-day / part-time basis. The role acts as a trusted advisor to management and directors, guiding on compliance, risk, governance, and regulatory matters across the business.

The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of financial services regulations and payments environments, plus excellent stakeholder engagement and the confidence to work with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of practical Risk and Compliance experience in regulated financial services environments.
• RE1 and RE5 qualifications are essential.
• Strong knowledge of FAIS, FICA, RMCPs and related regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Risk & Compliance subject matter expert across the business.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable financial services and payments regulations.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Risk Management and Compliance Programmes (RMCPs).
• Provide guidance on FICA, FAIS, and broader regulatory compliance requirements.
• Review contracts, agreements, and business arrangements from a compliance and risk perspective.
• Deliver practical compliance training and education to staff on regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Support and prepare the business for regulatory reviews, audits, and compliance assessments.
• Work closely with directors and senior management to provide practical, risk-based solutions.
