Job summary

BluePearl is seeking a skilled and hands-on DevOps Engineer to support our technology environment on a part-time, fully remote basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, deployment processes, monitoring, automation, security, and overall system reliability.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC, and Git-based workflows, and be able to work independently while supporting

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or related technical roles.
• Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud environments.
• Strong Linux and scripting knowledge.
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git-based development workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Terraform certification or DevSecOps experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate application build, testing and deployment processes.
• Manage source-code and version-control workflows using Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Implement automated testing and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and deployment issues.
• Improve deployment speed, reliability and consistency.
• Deploy, configure and maintain cloud infrastructure.
• Work with platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Manage cloud resources, environments and configurations.
• Support infrastructure scalability, availability and performance.
• Implement infrastructure monitoring and cost-conscious resource management.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Maintain configuration management and environment consistency.
• Build and manage containerised applications using Docker.
• Support container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot container, networking and deployment issues.
• Assist with maintaining development, staging and production environments.
