Job summary

Herschel Girls School in Claremont, Cape Town, seeks a part-time piano teacher commencing 11 January 2027 on a fixed-term Service Provider Contract. The successful candidate will teach piano for Grades 1–12 and Music Theory, with preference for candidates with ABRSM/Trinity syllabi experience.

Qualifications

• A degree in Music; Performer’s or Teacher’s Licentiate would be advantageous.
• Experience in ABRSM/Trinity Syllabi.
• Experience teaching piano from Grade 1–12 would be advantageous.
• Experience in accompaniment (instrumental and ensembles) would be advantageous.
• Teach Music Theory.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Be self-motivated and organised.
