Job summary

Rosebank College in Johannesburg seeks an experienced lecturer to facilitate teaching and learning, implement strategies, and promote research and innovation. You will monitor LMS engagement, support students, deliver online and on-site sessions, and participate in programme coordination meetings.

A strong background in Communication Studies or related field is required, with 2–3 years of lecturing experience and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum:Honours degree in Communication Studies, Communication Science, Media Studies, Journalism or a relevant cognate field.
• Alternatively:Master's or PhD in Communication Studies, Communication Science, Media Studies or a relevant cognate field.
• 2–3 years' lecturing or formal tutoring experience
• Online lecturing experience at a tertiary level is advantageous

• Students’ success rates at modular level.
• Continuous student support and development.
• Online Teaching and learning.

Job Purpose:

The role of the incumbent is to facilitate all aspects of the teaching and learning process. The role includes the implementation of the teaching and learning strategies to improve the quality of teaching and learning and meet delivery outcomes and to promote and encourage research and innovation in teaching and learning.

Duties & Responsibilities:
