Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Educational Technology Consultant in Upington, Northern Cape, to advise schools on strategic technology adoption and pedagogical integration. You will assess client needs, recommend ed tech solutions, and deliver training for educators and staff.

Expect a part-time consultancy with flexible hours and project-based engagements. You will work with client IT and admin teams, stay updated on trends, and support policy guidance on data privacy and cybersecurity in

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Master's degree is advantageous.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in educational technology, IT consulting, or a related role within the education sector.
In-depth knowledge of LMS, interactive whiteboards, online collaboration tools, and digital content platforms.
Familiarity with pedagogical approaches that integrate technology effectively into the curriculum.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Project management experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct needs assessments for educational institutions to identify challenges and opportunities for technology integration.
Research, evaluate, and recommend appropriate educational technologies, software, and hardware solutions.
Develop strategic technology implementation plans tailored to the specific needs of clients.
Provide training and professional development sessions to educators and staff on the effective use of educational technologies.
Offer ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for implemented solutions.
Collaborate with IT departments and administrative staff to ensure seamless integration of technology.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in educational technology and digital learning.
Develop project proposals and reports for clients.
Advise on policies related to technology use, data privacy, and cybersecurity in educational settings.
