Headhunters is seeking an experienced Head of Para-Planning to lead the paraplanning function in the Durban area. The role focuses on staff development, performance management, and delivering high-quality financial planning support to advisers.

The position combines people leadership, advanced financial planning expertise, process improvement, and hands-on paraplanning across wealth management, risk, tax and estate planning, with strong Xplan system oversight.

Qualifications

• Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
• 5+ years’ experience in the financial planning industry.
• Advanced financial planning and technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Regular discussions with advisers.
• Allocation of files to Paraplanners and reviewing their workload periodically.
• Drafting of contracts and related documents.
• Staff performance appraisals and recruitment coordination.
• Facilitating Xplan training and updates to processes.
