Headhunters in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support Wealth Management advisers with technical financial planning, documentation and client proposals.

You will coordinate with advisers, paraplanners, and staff, maintain Xplan inputs, draft contracts and statements of advice, and ensure processes are up to date. A degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning are required along with 5+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
• 5 or more years’ experience in the financial planning industry.
• Advanced financial planning and technical knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Diary Planning: Regular discussions with advisers; Instructions to reception; Allocation of files to Paraplanners and reviewing workload.
• New / Existing Staff (relating to Paraplanners): Dealing with recruitment agents; Interviews; Staff take on process / exit process; Drafting of contracts and related documents; Performance appraisals.
• Procedures Manual: Facilitating updates to the Procedures Manual and related company documents (e.g. Xplan documents and notes); Circulating updated information to staff.
• Templates / Technical Information: Update of template documents / wording; Technical queries from Paraplanners; Xplan complex calculations; Staff training / knowledge transfer; Facilitating the update of documented processes; Enhancement of processes.
• Xplan and related advice systems: Identifying and implementing projects to enhance automation; Liaison with various parties at Xplan regarding projects.
• Staff training: Bi-monthly paraplanning training on Xplan and related advice systems, processes, financial advice related topics.
• Client related matters: Wealth Management Plans; File preparation for meetings; Records of Advice; Ad hoc emails / investigations; Tax calculations when required.
• Risk Assessments and Quotes: Personal and business assurance; Drafting of Proposals; Reconciliations; Implementation Updates; Plan of actions; Performance comparisons / calculations; Estate Planning Calculations.
• Specimen agreements: Wills; Living Wills; Power of Attorney; Loan Agreements; Living Annuity revisions; Task management.
