Job summary

BDO Wealth Advisers in Cape Town invites applications for a Para-Planner to join the Financial Planning team. This full-time, permanent role offers collaboration with senior planners, participation in client meetings, and exposure to compliance and policy alignment as a FPI Approved Financial Planning Practice.

Candidates with CFP qualification or actively pursuing CFP, plus 3–5 years in a similar role, will be considered. Experience with Elite Wealth software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of financial planning concepts and products.
• Experience with investments and taxation analysis is advantageous.
• CFP designation or progress toward CFP is preferred.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements to Apply

• Certified Financial Planner® professional, or currently studying towards this professional designation, would be advantageous.
• At least 3–5 years' work experience in a similar role within a Financial Planning practice.
• Experience working with Elite Wealth or similar financial planning software would be advantageous.

Possess a good knowledge of the Financial Planning industry, financial products, financial planning concepts, investments, taxation, and general financial analysis.

Be able to effectively manage workloads and requirements as allocated by the Financial Planner.

Display a strong work ethic, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, adherence to turnaround times, and high-quality work delivery.
