Job summary

Kabstrading Co in Cape Town is seeking an experienced vehicle preparation technician to handle flatting, sanding, masking, and surface preparation so panels are paint-ready. The role requires work in an approved panel shop and a keen eye for detail to ensure top quality results.

You will identify imperfections before spray painting, maintain neat and efficient workmanship, and perform under pressure with dedication to high standards. This is a hands-on shop position in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1year s experience in vehicle preparation and flatting.
• Must have experience working in an approved panel shop.
• Skilled in flatting, sanding, masking preparation and surface preparation.
• Able to prepare repaired panels correctly before painting.
• Must understand different sanding grades and preparation processes.
• Must be able to identify imperfections before the vehicle enters the spray booth.
• Must work neatly, efficiently and to a high quality standard.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Must be reliable, hardworking and able to work under pressure.
