Job summary

Future Motor Lease in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead autobody operations from intake to delivery. You will ensure repairs meet high standards and perform QC inspections.

Deliver productivity, scheduling, and staff guidance while upholding safety and profitability. A valid driver’s license is essential and prior supervisory experience in a panel workshop is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in autobody/panel beater workshop supervisory or management role.
• Valid driver’s license (Essential).
• Own reliable vehicle (Advantageous).
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literacy and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the workshop daily.
• Manage workshop operations from vehicle intake through final delivery (cradle to grave).
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work are completed to a high standard.
• Conduct quality control (QC) inspections on completed vehicles.
• Monitor workshop productivity, workflow, and turnaround times.
• Coordinate vehicle scheduling and job allocation.
• Supervise, motivate, and support workshop staff.
• Lead and facilitate workshop meetings.
• Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Ensure company procedures, safety standards, and workshop policies are followed.
• Identify and resolve operational issues to maintain efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure that workshop targets are met and that they maintain profitability.
• Any other duties as requested by management.
