About Pretty Social
Pretty Social is a boutique digital marketing agency specialising in eCommerce, paid advertising, email marketing, websites and digital strategy.
We work with a range of lifestyle and eCommerce brands, helping them grow through strategic, performance-focused digital marketing.
We are looking for a Paid Media & eCommerce Performance Specialist to take ownership of the performance marketing and conversion side of our client accounts.
This is not a traditional Account Manager role. Client relationship management and day-to-day account management will sit separately within the team, allowing you to focus on paid media, data, tracking, optimisation and eCommerce performance.
The Role
You will plan, implement, manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across multiple platforms and work closely with our Account Managers, Creative/Social Media, Email Marketing and Website teams.
We're looking for someone who is analytical, commercially minded and genuinely interested in why campaigns perform the way they do — not someone who simply launches ads and reports on the numbers.
You should be comfortable looking at the full customer journey:
Ad → Click → Landing Page → Product/Offer → Checkout → Purchase
…and identifying where opportunities or problems exist.
Key Responsibilities
Paid Advertising
Manage and optimise campaigns across:
- Meta Ads – Facebook & Instagram
- Google Ads – Search, Shopping & Performance Max
- TikTok, LinkedIn and Amazon Ads – advantageous
Responsibilities include campaign strategy, setup and optimisation, audience research, budget management, creative testing, retargeting, product/catalogue campaigns, performance monitoring, testing new opportunities and scaling campaigns when performance allows.
eCommerce Performance
- Analyse eCommerce performance and conversion funnels
- Identify conversion drop-off points and opportunities
- Review product pages and landing pages
- Make CRO and conversion rate recommendations
- Review offers, messaging and calls-to-action
- Analyse traffic quality vs conversion performance
- Make data-driven recommendations
Experience with Shopify and/or WordPress/WooCommerce is highly advantageous.
Conversion Tracking & Analytics
A strong understanding of tracking is essential.
You should be comfortable with:
- GA4
- Google Tag Manager
- Meta Pixel & Conversions API
- Google Ads conversion tracking
- eCommerce and event tracking
- UTM tracking
- Diagnosing tracking discrepancies
- Attribution and performance data
You should be able to assess whether the data we're looking at can actually be trusted and identify when tracking needs attention.
Website & Landing Page Optimisation
Work with our website team to identify opportunities to improve conversion performance, including:
- Website and landing page reviews
- Product page optimisation
- Mobile experience
- User journeys and checkout funnels
- CTA and UX/CRO recommendations
- Identifying technical or tracking issues
You don't need to be a developer, but website development experience or the ability to make basic website/code changes will be highly beneficial.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor campaign KPIs
- Analyse ROAS, CPA, CPC, CTR, conversion rates and revenue
- Identify trends and performance issues
- Understand profitability and commercial objectives
- Prepare performance insights for Account Managers and clients
- Make clear, actionable recommendations
- Communicate why performance changed, not just what changed
Swydo, Looker Studio or similar reporting platform experience is highly beneficial.
Creative Strategy & Performance
We want someone who can think strategically about creative and ideally create the ads themselves.
You will:
- Develop advertising concepts, angles, hooks and messaging
- Write compelling ad copy, headlines and CTAs
- Ideally create paid advertising creatives
- Analyse creative performance and identify winning concepts
- Identify creative fatigue and recommend new concepts
- Work with our designer/content team when additional support is required
- If you cannot create the creative yourself, provide clear, detailed and strategic briefs to our designer
- Review creative before it goes live
Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram Edits or similar is highly beneficial.
Strategy & Client Communication
You will not work entirely behind the scenes. You will participate in client meetings and communicate performance and recommendations directly to clients.
You will:
- Develop paid media and eCommerce performance strategies
- Proactively identify opportunities
- Make data-driven recommendations
- Communicate strategies and performance insights clearly and confidently
- Participate in client meetings
- Explain technical/performance marketing concepts in a way clients understand
- Manage client questions relating to paid media, tracking and website performance
- Build professional client relationships
- Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure a coordinated digital strategy

- Ideally able to create advertising creatives independently
- Able to brief a designer effectively when required
- Comfortable being client-facing and participating in meetings
- Able to confidently communicate strategies, recommendations and performance insights
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple accounts and priorities
- Proactive, solution-focused and able to work independently
