Our client, a leader in the cement industry, is looking for a dedicated and skilled supervisor to manage the packing operations within their facility. The Packing Plant Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are packed efficiently and meet the company's quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead the packing team to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor production processes and make adjustments as necessary
• Ensure compliance with quality control standards
• Report breakdowns that could result in stoppages
• Coordinate daily packing activities and schedules
• Manage SHEQ incentives
• Train and develop team members to enhance skills and productivity
• Implement and maintain safety protocols within the packing area
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve production goals
• Maintain accurate records of production activities

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) and a recognized trade test (minimum of NTC 4 as a Millwright, ideally working towards completing N5 Diploma).
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in heavy industry engineering, particularly in a packing plant environment.
• Experience with SAP and basic computer literacy.
• Strong business communication and numeracy skills.
