Job summary

Solenis seeks a hands-on line operator in Gauteng to manage chemical deliveries, offload, and ensure safe storage and handling. You will monitor dosing lines for leaks, perform field tests, and support maintenance activities to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include daily stock reports, completing EBI and stock allocation forms, and ensuring cleanliness of conveyors and CIP tanks. Forklift operation training is preferred and safety signage must be observed.

Responsibilities

• Receive chemical deliveries from Diversey.
• Offloading of chemicals from truck.
• Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary. Use barricades and signage.
• Observe dosing lines and pumps for leaks/damages/faults and report immediately to Technician.
• Daily stock taking report for all chemicals.
• Fill in EBI reports.
• Fill in Stock allocation report correctly.
• Fill in schedules from the line daily and submit to Planners.
• Walk the lines and inspect for issues, downtime, spraying pattern of nozzles and leaks.
• Remove and clean blocked nozzles.
• Check conveyors for cleanliness.
• Check salt tank if there is salt present. Top up if required.
• Check water hardness and record results.
• Be on the Line when the Line starts up during maintenance.
• Perform COF/drag Test.
• Perform 50 crate counts.
• Perform Methylene Blue Testing in conjunction with ABINBEV for verification.
• Cleaning of CIP Tanks.

Job description

• Submit relevant paperwork after deliveries to Technicians.
• Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary. Use barricades and signage.
• Chemical containment & storage areas to be kept clean and free of spillages and dirt.
• Observe dosing lines and pumps for leaks/damages/faults and report immediately to Technician.
