Job summary

Tiger Brands is seeking a dedicated Warehouse/Forklift Operator to ensure accurate issuing of packaging materials and safe forklift movement within the warehouse and production areas.

The role emphasizes stock control, documentation, and adherence to FIFO/FEFO where applicable, with responsibilities spanning receiving, putting away, and safe operations. A relevant forklift certificate and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required; forklift certification preferred.
• Valid forklift operator certification/licence.
• Experience in a warehouse, packaging store or manufacturing environment.
• Experience issuing and handling packaging materials is advantageous.
• Basic computer skills.
• ERP/WMS experience is advantageous.
• Good understanding of warehouse and stock-control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Issue packaging materials according to requests and documentation; verify codes, quantities and specs.
• Operate forklift safely; perform pre-use inspections and follow safety rules.
• Assist with stock counts, investigate discrepancies, and update records.
• Assist with put-away and keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Document movements; maintain traceability from receipt to issue.
• Follow health, safety, quality procedures and report hazards.
