Job summary

JVR Software is seeking an experienced accountant to prepare monthly management accounts and reports, oversee VAT reconciliations, and manage year-end processes. You will handle journals, fixed asset records, budgeting, and liaise with external auditors in a fast-paced SA environment.

The role requires a PA(SA) designation or equivalent, a BCom in accounting, and at least 3 years of accounting experience with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Perform detailed Income Statement and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Process and review accounting journals.
• Prepare annual financial statements; manage month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Oversee VAT reconciliations, submissions and payments.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and supporting schedules.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
