Job summary

Department of Health is seeking an Operational Manager Nursing Grade 1 for Internal Medicine & Psychiatry: Outpatients. The role requires leadership in ward management and strict adherence to nursing standards, with extensive experience in general nursing and administration.

Applicants must hold a Basic R425 nursing qualification, a Reg. with SANC, and an additional Nursing Administration qualification, with at least seven years of experience.

Qualifications

• SANC registration as Professional Nurse (General Nursing) is required.
• Seven years’ nursing experience after registration with SANC.
• Current SANC registration is mandatory.
• Leadership, ward management, planning and communication are essential competencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate nursing care within professional scope and nursing standards.
• Manage unit resources and administration efficiently.
• Compile and analyse reports to improve patient care quality.
• Participate in training, research and self-development activities.
• Implement the Ideal Hospital Realization and Maintenance Framework.
