Job summary

Tiger Consumer Brands Ltd. in South Africa is seeking a production operator to run a large industrial dough mixing machine, scale ingredients, and process dough to exact formula specifications.

You will input mixes into the batching system and follow SOPs to ensure consistent product quality. Responsibilities include confirming product runs, applying FIFO, recording data on check sheets, and maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial dough mixers.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain hygiene.
• Familiarity with batching inputs and recipe accuracy.
• Competence in recording data and completing check sheets.
• Understanding of FIFO for ingredient usage.

Responsibilities

• Operate large industrial dough mixer and scale ingredients according to formula specifications.
• Establish product runs for each shift and input mixes into batching system per SOP.
• Check availability and quantity of pre-mix and flour; follow FIFO and ensure optimal water absorption.
• Complete check sheets recording critical information on each batch.
• Ensure dough specifications are met; quarantine batches if out of spec.
• Adhere to food safety policy and keep work area hygienic.
• Participate in internal forums and trainings.

Job description

• It’s fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they’re doing! Run a large industrial dough mixing machine to accurately scale, combine, and process ingredients into consistent bread dough according to exact formula specifications
• Establish which products are to be produced during shift. Set mixer to SOP standards. Input mixes into Batching system, ensuring recipes are per approved SOP
• Check availability and quantity of pre-mix and Flour and follow the FIFO system. Cautiously ensure maximum water absorption is utilized
• Complete check sheet 5, recording all critical information relating to mixes made
• Always ensure dough specification is correct. If deficiency is detected that batch must be removed
• Adhere to the Food safety policy. Perform any reasonable work -related duty as requested by the Supervisor. Always keep work area clean and in a good hygienic standard.
• Active participation in internal forums e.g. INVOCOMS, Training interventions, Employee engagement sessions
