Job summary

Dante Personnel Recruitment (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled extrusion operator for a 3-layer LDPE blown film line in Northern Suburbs, Western Cape. The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate a counterbalance forklift.

The incumbent should be physically fit to stand long hours, lift up to 30 kg, and work a rotating 12-hour shift. FSSC 22000 experience will be advantageous and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years as an extrusion operator for multilayer LDPE film.
• Ability to interpret production specifications and adjust panels accordingly.
• Physically fit to stand long hours and lift up to 30 kg.
• Willing to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
• Forklift experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 3-layer blown film extrusion line.
• Interpret production specs and adjust equipment as needed.
• Operate a counterbalance forklift and handle material movements.
• Work overtime as required and adhere to safety standards.

Job description

• 3 to 5 years’ experience as a multilayer (min 3 layer) LDPE blown film extrusion operator
• Strong mechanical aptitude to interpret production specifications, adjust instrument panels and perform minor mechanical repairs
• Physically fit and the ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads of up to 30kg
• Work a rotating shift pattern (12 hr shifts)
• Operate a counterbalance forklift
• Work overtime as and when needed
• FSSC 22000 experience will be advantageous
