Job summary

Kerry Kopp Consulting seeks a skilled trades technician for a permanent role in the Durban area. You will work on mechanical, electrical, and extrusion blow moulding processes, reporting to the Plant Manager, with on-call duties and a dayshift schedule.

Five years FMCG manufacturing experience in extrusion blow moulding is preferred. Own transport is essential to access the site locations.

Qualifications

• N3 plus Trade Test are mandatory; diplomas not considered.
• Trade Test must be completed in relevant trades (Fitter, Electrician, Millwright, Toolmaker).
• Experience in extrusion blow moulding manufacturing is essential.
• Dayshift with on-call duties; report to Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Machine setup and process optimization.
• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Mould changes and maintenance tasks.
• Tooling management and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure HDPE/PP processing parameters are correctly applied.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consideration of Mechanical, Electrical, Millwright or Toolmaker trades
• N3 + completed Trade Test required, diplomas not considered
• Experience in Injection or preferred Blowmoulding manufacturing
• Dayshift with on-call duties, reporting to the Plant Manager
• Own transport essential
• Skills required: excellent English, hands-on approach, process optimization
• Specific skills in production processing and problem-solving
• Minimum 5 years FMCG Manufacturing experience, specializing in extrusion blow moulding
• Machine setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, mould changes, maintenance, and tooling management
• Understanding of HDPE and PP processing characteristics
