Job summary

Shopritex seeks an Operations Team Leader to oversee contracted drivers, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations while aligning with SLAs. You will manage driver schedules, provide resources, and lead continuous improvement initiatives within clusters.

You will monitor performance, train staff, handle incidents, and collaborate with the Area Manager to optimize operations and budgets. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is essential.
• Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain, Transportation, Safety Management or related field is essential.
• 3+ years in an operations environment is essential.
• 1 year supervisory experience is desirable.
• Familiar with performance management and improvement.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 for operation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance and compliance of contracted drivers across clusters.
• Manage driver availability and scheduling daily/weekly.
• Perform daily/weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets.
• Provide assets, uniforms, and resources to drivers; ensure timely reporting.
• Guide on-the-job training and address driver queries promptly.
• Gather driver feedback and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report field incidents timely and support incident handling.
• Collaborate with Area Manager to improve cluster performance and budgets.
