Job summary

Greys Recruitment, on behalf of its logistics client, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead a busy Distribution Centre in Cape Town, overseeing receiving, storage, transport and picking while driving operational excellence.

This senior management role reports to the General Manager and requires 5–7 years in warehousing/distribution, experience with large teams (400+), and strong systems skills including WMS and ERP.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics
• Relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
• 5–7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing / Distribution, ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment

Our logistics client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take overall responsibility for the performance of a busy Distribution Centre — leading receiving, storage, transport and picking operations while driving operational excellence across the warehouse.
This is a role for someone who has managed 400+ employees!

Key requirements:

• Grade 12 with Higher Grade Mathematics
• Relevant tertiary Diploma / Degree / Qualification
• 5–7 years' relevant experience in Warehousing / Distribution, ideally within FMCG, QSR or a similar high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the Distribution Centre operates safely, efficiently, accurately and within budget.
This is a Senior Management opportunity reporting directly to the General Manager, with responsibility for the overall performance and well-being of the Distribution Centre's receiving, storage, transport and picking functions.
