Job summary

Armstrong Appointments is seeking a proactive Production Leader for a new tannery/plant to develop within the organization. You will oversee all production stages, drive efficiency, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role requires leadership experience and a chemistry-related background where possible.

The candidate should be able to report production performance to the CEO and guide the team towards continuous improvement and growth in the leather industry.

Qualifications

• Fluent German is a great advantage.
• Bachelor's degree or similar; a chemistry background is beneficial.
• 2–5 years in Manufacturing/Production leadership roles (Team Leader/Senior Supervisor/Operations Manager).
• Demonstrates hard work, honesty and willingness to learn.
• Strong leadership and good communication skills.

Our client is one of the largest producers of leather for furniture upholstery.

We have a great opportunity at a new manufacturing tannery/plant for a young candidate who would like to grow and develop within.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties will include but not limited to:

1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of production from start to finish
2. Maintaining and improving productivity and efficiency
3. Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
4. Implementing and monitoring production schedules
5. Providing leadership and guidance to the production team
6. Reporting to the CEO on production performance and any issues or concerns

Overall, we are seeking a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to driving success in the manufacturing tannery/plant.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualification and experience:

1. Preferably be fluent in German (Great advantage)
2. Bachelor's degree or similar (Chemistry background would be beneficial)
3. 2 – 5 Years working experience within Manufacturing / Production either as a Team Leader, Senior Supervisor or an Operations Manager
4. The ideal candidate will demonstrate hard work, honesty and willingness to learn
5. Have strong leadership skills
6. Good technical background and good communication skills
