Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Operations or Production Management (or equivalent).
• Leadership or supervisory training (essential).
• 3–5 years' experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality control, and productivity principles.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising production staff, including operators and support teams.
• Driving a positive, productive, and performance-focused team culture.
• Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing development support.
• Managing HR-related matters such as leave planning, queries, and basic IR issues.
• Handling conflict resolution and promoting strong team engagement.
• Supporting production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Ensuring daily production targets and deadlines are achieved.
• Monitoring workflows to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements.
• Analyzing production data to drive performance improvements.
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Conducting regular quality checks and inspections.
• Collaborating with technical teams to resolve quality issues.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Implementing and maintaining quality control processes.
• Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Maintaining accurate production and performance records.
• Providing regular updates to management on team and operational performance.
• Supporting data-driven decision-making through reporting and analysis.
