Profile Personnel seeks an experienced Production Manager to oversee press and assembly manufacturing in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will drive production planning, manage teams, and ensure safety, quality and customer expectations are met through Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
The role requires 5+ years in automotive manufacturing with a proven management background, strong leadership, and excellent MS Excel/reporting skills to optimise KPIs and overall performance.
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Production Manager to take accountability for manufacturing operations within a fast-paced automotive production environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing press and assembly manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements and customer expectations are consistently achieved through effective resource utilisation and continuous improvement.
Manage day-to-day production and operational activities across press and assembly manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and production standards.
Drive production planning, scheduling and effective resource utilisation.
Lead, develop and manage production teams and workforce performance.
Monitor and improve KPIs, productivity and operational performance.
Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify and resolve production, quality and operational challenges.
Work closely with quality, engineering, supply chain and other support functions.
Ensure manufacturing processes meet customer and industry requirements.
Maintain effective performance, discipline and competency development within the team.
Degree in Production Management, Operations Management or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing, including 5+ years in a management role.
Strong understanding of automated production systems, robotics, presses and assembly cells.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Total Quality Management and Quality Core Tools.
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality systems.
Strong production planning, KPI management, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good understanding of supply chain and measurement analysis principles.
Advanced MS Excel and strong reporting/presentation skills.
Strong leadership, decision-making and people management capabilities.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
