Job summary

Animal Welfare Society Stellenbosch is seeking a hands-on Kennels Manager to lead our kennel team and uphold high standards of animal care and operational excellence.

The role requires solid people management experience, a strong background with dogs, and the ability to drive hygiene, biosecurity and welfare standards on site in Stellenbosch.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience including staff supervision.
• Minimum 2 years’ practical experience working with dogs and understanding canine behaviour and welfare.
• Own vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Live in Stellenbosch or surrounding area.
• South African citizen.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years’ management experience, including staff supervision.

• Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Live in Stellenbosch / surrounding area.
• South African citizen.
• Previous animal shelter experience will be advantageous.
