About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive Operations Improvement Engineer to join their team in Randburg. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and optimizing workflows across various operational departments. You will be responsible for analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing data-driven solutions to improve productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality. Working closely with diverse teams, this position requires a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of operational excellence principles. The goal is to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensure that operational processes are as efficient and effective as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of operational processes, workflows, and resource utilization to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, leveraging lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Design and manage projects aimed at increasing productivity, reducing waste, and improving overall operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with department managers and frontline staff to ensure the successful adoption and sustainability of implemented changes.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of improvement initiatives and guide future efforts.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all optimized processes and operational procedures.

Requirements
