Job summary

EdUpStairs is recruiting for a cleaning position within the National Operational Command Centre in Pretoria. The role requires English and an additional official language, SA citizenship, and a basic ABET/NQF level.

Responsibilities include cleaning, stock support, gardening, housekeeping, refreshments, kitchen hygiene, and transport of staff between venues. The candidate should be able to read/write, interact professionally, and be willing to work extended hours while adhering to OH&S

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and one other official language.
• Citizen of the Republic of South Africa; documentary proof required at interview.
• ABET Level 4/Grade 9/NQF Level 1 with proof when required.
• Knowledge of how to handle cleaning detergents.
• Occupational Health and Safety protocol awareness.
• Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Able to read and write; professional interaction with officials.
• Able to operate elementary machines and equipment; willing to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning services.
• Render store, stock and equipment support, including loading/offloading equipment from vehicles.
• Render gardening services.
• Execute and maintain housekeeping duties in and around assigned premises.
• Prepare and serve refreshments.
• Organize and keep the kitchen hygienically clean.
• Contribute to the purchasing of stock.
• Transport members/personnel safely to desired location.
• Collect and deliver vehicle/equipment/documents between venues/offices.
